Overview: 

Our world class vision engineering team has built an engine that can process the movement of trucks and containers in real-time. It’s now time to unlock the potential of that engine by building SaaS applications that leverage the vision engine to transform the logistics industry.  

We’re hiring a Field Engineer to expand the reach of our solution by the installation of our solutions. Your role is critical in the technical installation and configuration of our camera-based technology. Working closely with the broader Delivery team, looking for ways to simplify the installation, configuration, and interaction with other external networks. 

 Responsibilities: 

  • Understand aspects of network architecture and technology and how it is implemented in organizations. 

  • Perform installation, configuration, assessment, maintenance, and technical support of Terminal solutions on customer sites. 

  • Understand all aspects as it relates to the cameras and camera technology Terminal is deploying.

  • Mentor and coach other members of the Delivery team to expand the knowledge and foster growth as it relates to network architecture and technologies.

  • Work closely with the technical R&D team to look for ways to reduce network access challenges and improve ongoing support.

  • Be a technical liaison between the commercial team and our customers, helping to streamline the process of installing and configuring the Terminal solution.

  • Work closely with our customers IT organizations ensuring smooth installations in a secure manner constantly enhancing confidence with our customer base and prospective customer relationships.

  • All technical documentation as it relates to network, network architecture, network topologies and tools used by the organization as it relates to customer deployments.

 Requirements: 

  • Must be based in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience installing and configuring IP-based video security systems, including CCTV, NVRs, and cloud-based video platforms. Hands-on experience working with camera deployment, calibration, and video network troubleshooting is essential.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT installation, configuration, device management, and network analysis.

  • Solid understanding of networking topologies and architecture.  Preferably in applications that relate to video streaming.

  • Strong understanding of layer 3 firewalls and routing, including IPv6.

  • Strong analysis and debugging skills for network throughput and performance problems from the physical layer upwards.

  • Good understanding of cellular based technologies and other wireless networking such as point-to-point in outdoor environments.

  • Experience installing hardware and/or networking devices in a logistics or supply chain type environment is a plus.

  • Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills. Immaculate timekeeping.

  • Proven ability to work well with others in a team environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or compatible networking technology or related field is preferred. 

  • Experience with Ansible, AWS, Cisco Meraki networking, Tailscale/Wireguard or Axis cameras would all be a strong advantage in this role.

  • Willingness to travel to customer sites up to 30%. Travel will vary based on customer needs.
