What you'll do

As a Senior Field Application Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting our sales managers; connect customers back to our R&D engineering teams, ensure evaluations go well and provide both pre and post-sales support. You will be responsible for building trust and long term relationships with our customers, getting hands-on to provide technical advice, guidance and debug customer issues.

Alongside our core IP you will focus on our Codasip Studio tool, a new way to design and customize processors. You must excel at presenting and explaining new technologies to customers, addressing questions and concerns as well as showcasing the benefits, ultimately demonstrating that our solution will help them get to market faster.

Report into , and collaborate with the wider team focusing on activities that support Codasip’s growth and success, and help us evangelize our technology within the semiconductor industry.

You will:

  • Technically engage with customers from initial prospect to post-sales support e.g. assist in understanding the customer’s technical requirements, product selection, demo product features and capabilities, enabling evaluations, debug/resolve technical issues
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and trust with customers, understanding their long-term goals in order to provide technical advice and suggestions that will help lead them to success. 
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for assigned accounts.
  • Provide customer feedback and insight to Product Management and R&D, supporting product improvement and influencing the future roadmap. 
  • Document and track customer interactions and issues using CRM tools.
  • Support regional sales team in all sales and business development related activities. Assist in creating technical proposals and responses to RFPs/RFQs.
  • Develop collateral such as application notes, and customer and conference presentations. Create and deliver technical training to customers and internal teams.
Requirements

What you have:

  • Experience as a digital hardware design engineer (e.g. digital design, RTL, HDL) or embedded software engineer (e.g. HAL, firmware, drivers, compilers) role, preferably in the semiconductor IP or EDA industry
  • CPU/GPU architecture / processor specific knowledge or experience e.g. RISC-V, ARM
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical credibility; building trust by giving impartial advice and accurate answers to technical questions
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with teams around the business - sales, engineering, product management
  • A high standard of communication; solid speaking and writing skills, capable and comfortable delivering presentations at conferences and to customers, and contribute to necessary supporting collateral
  • Ability and willingness to travel nationally and internationally on occasion for internal and customer meetings, trade-shows etc.

What you might have:

  • Experience in a technical support role within CPU/GPU/SoC/Processor design e.g. Field Application Engineer, Customer Engineer - especially supporting related technical domains e.g. digital hardware design, embedded software. 
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Tcl)
  • Understanding of SoC design methodologies.
  • A degree or postgraduate qualification in electronic engineering, computer science or in a related area

The salary range for this role is $140,000 - $200,000
