Description

About the Role

As a Contract Events Marketer at TbT, you will play a key role in driving brand awareness, generating leads, and strengthening relationships by leading the planning and execution of in-person and virtual events. This role is ideal for an experienced event professional who thrives in a mission-driven environment and is looking for flexible, project-based work with the potential for ongoing collaboration.

Requirements

In this role you will

  • Manage the full lifecycle of events (both in-person and virtual)—including planning, logistics, promotion, execution, and post-event follow-up.
  • Coordinate a calendar of events, such as conferences, webinars, workshops, and partner collaborations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Leadership) to align event plans with strategic goals.
  • Develop and execute multi-channel promotional campaigns to drive attendance and engagement, including email, social media, and partner outreach.
  • Handle event logistics such as venue coordination, registration management, technology setup, speaker preparation, and creation of collateral.
  • Capture and track event leads, working closely with the Sales team to ensure smooth follow-up.
  • Measure and report on event performance (attendance, engagement, lead quality, ROI) and provide data-informed recommendations for future events.
  • Manage event budgets to ensure cost-effective execution.

You are the ideal candidate if you have

  • 3+ years of experience managing both in-person and virtual events, ideally in EdTech, K-12 education, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Strong project management abilities—comfortable balancing multiple events, timelines, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills—you’ll work with internal teams, external partners, and event attendees.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and flexibility—events rarely go exactly as planned, and you know how to pivot quickly.
  • Experience with marketing and event tools such as Zoom Webinars, Mailchimp, and Salesforce.
  • Ability to analyze event performance data and apply insights to improve future events.
  • High attention to detail—you catch the small things others miss.
  • Passion for education equity and excitement about working with a mission-driven organization.
  • Experience working remotely and across time zones.
Benefits

This is a fully remote position; you can work from anywhere in the United States.

You will also have the potential for travel throughout the United States.

Flexible hours based on project needs, with an average expected commitment of 30-40 hours per week

The initial contract term will have the potential to extend based on performance and organizational needs.

Compensation will be hourly, aligned with experience and scope of work.
