You will join a team developing state-of-the-art general-purpose robots designed to operate in human spaces and with human tools. It is designed to work alongside humans, mobilize to human spaces, and manipulate the world around it.

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to build and lead our team of Product Validation engineers focused on commercialization of our general-purpose robots. Responsibilties:

  • Lead and validate the performance and reliability of Apptronik’s general purpose robots during product development.
  • Partner with design engineering teams to drive product design to ensure adherence to safety, regulatory and systems engineering requirements for commercial deployment of Apptronik’s robots.
  • Mentor, coach, and foster a culture of excellence within the product validation engineering team.
  • Develop design verification and product validation test plans per systems engineering requirements and lead engineering testing.
  • Build the product validation team to drive the commercialization of Apptronik’s general purpose robots.
  • Lead the development of test methodologies, procedures, and drive traceability to system requirements and ensure that testing processes and procedures comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Build test automation processes to improve efficiency and reduce cycle time.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish and maintain robust quality control measures throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Investigate and resolve any test-related issues or discrepancies, implementing corrective and preventive actions to uphold product quality.
  • Collaborate with 3rd party laboratories to ensure rigorous validation of Apptronik’s products across safety, certification, and product requirements.
  • Build and lead Product Reliability growth strategy and drive engineering issue resolutions in a timely manner.


 Requirements:

  • Demonstrated in-depth expertise in engineering design verification & validation of industrial robots or similar electro-mechanical systems.
  • Experience in engineering methodologies including DFMEA, DVP&R, root cause analysis and reliability growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Master’s degree in engineering preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams
