Job Description

We are looking for a talented teammate… 

To join our team as an Engineering Intern! CLEAResult is a consulting firm that designs and implements energy efficiency programs nationwide. This position supports our Central Region team serving 22 states across the Midwest and South. A successful candidate will work closely with our Policy, Design & Evaluation team, Engineering teams and divisional leadership.  

This hybrid role requires you to be in the office in Austin, TX, one day a week, with the possibility of additional days for working sessions as needed. 
 
You’re a great fit if you can… 

  • Learn how to calculate energy savings for energy-efficient projects and measures 
  • With coaching, review regulatory filings, utility commission documents, and evaluator documents for technical implications and regulatory/funding trends; communicate findings engineering leadership
  • Research how changing federal, state and city building codes are impacting building energy use to inform our clients and update our offerings accordingly 
  • Support engineering tool development using MS Excel and other software 
  • Update databases and calculators our engineering team uses regularly 
  • Present on a summer project to Engineering Leadership at the conclusion of the internship 
  • Work with a cross functional team to learn this industry broadly and never ever defy the laws of physics! 

 

Exciting candidates have 

  • Active enrollment as a 3rd or 4th year pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree with a graduation date no earlier than May/June 2025
  • Pursuing a degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or environmental) 
  • Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer (Early June through early August) reporting into our Austin, Texas offices 1 day week 
  • Based in the Austin Metro area 
  • Interested and ambitions to work in fast-paced energy efficiency industry 
  • Familiar with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and detailed calculation work 
  • Strong in their math and analytical skills 
  • Interested in an opportunity to be considered for promotion to a full-time engineering position after the internship has been completed 

Compensation Range

$17.85 - $24.00
