You will join a team developing state-of-the-art general-purpose robots designed to operate in human spaces and with human tools. It is designed to work alongside humans, mobilize to human spaces, and manipulate the world around it.

JOB SUMMARY 

We're looking for an Electrical Engineer with experience in DFMA/DFX, root cause analysis, proven hands-on capabilities, and a strong industry background. We are primarily interested in candidates with prior implementation experience in PCBA/electrical assembly design / manufacturing.  In this role, you will be responsible for providing subject matter expert (electrical & electronics) support for wider ranging manufacturing processes and function as the key liaison with Manufacturing. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES or KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Provide expertise on DFMA/DFX during design cycle 
  • Conduct Build-Readiness Reviews and evaluate / package schematics and documentation 
  • Work w/ manufacturing leading up to design release, at design release, and during initial builds 
  • Lead RCA of electrical & electronic components and sub-assemblies 
  • Travel up to 20% 

 

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS 

  • Proven experience designing, prototyping, and debugging PCB/PCBAs as well as interfacing w/ MFG. groups during release/build 
  • Familiarity/experience with electronics lab tools and simulation tools (ex: LTSpice, PSpice) 
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written); will be expected to develop detailed build assembly instructions and diagrams    
  • Proven experience designing, prototyping and debugging PCBs  
  • A positive attitude and a strong interest in learning new ideas  
  • Exceptional attention to detail and engineering discipline   
  • Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple deadlines   
  • Great team player able to perform within a dynamic start-up environment 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor of Science Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related field 
  • At least 5 years of experience in Electronics Design and Manufacturing Engineering
