Our Director of Strategic Business will play a pivotal role in driving client growth, managing key accounts, and aligning business needs with service delivery. As a strategic leader and escalation point, this role collaborates with internal teams to enhance customer success, streamline operations, and mitigate service issues. Additionally, the Director leads high-performing teams that serve as trusted advisors and advocates, ensuring long-term client satisfaction and business growth.

We are looking for a Director of Strategic Business, who will:

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive customer growth, retention, and satisfaction, ensuring alignment with Annual Contract Value (ACV), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Operating Level Agreements (OLAs).

  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth, service enhancements, and operational efficiencies while ensuring best practices are implemented and followed through.

  • Serve as a key escalation point for customer issues, contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and project execution to minimize impact and ensure effective communication.

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team, ensuring optimal staffing, defined roles, and structured workflows to support business objectives.

  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Legal, Operations, Product Management, and Professional Services to enhance business performance, optimize service delivery, and drive customer success.

  • Ensure the successful execution of client success plans, contract renewals, RFIs, and RFPs, with clear metrics for success and mitigation strategies for potential challenges.

  • Oversee the documentation and resolution of technical, operational, and product-related inquiries among internal teams and vendors.

  • Participate in business and financial planning to drive revenue growth and retention while ensuring continued profitability.

  • Develop data-driven strategies that balance customer satisfaction with return on investment (ROI).

  • Cultivate future project initiatives that leverage the full range of product and service offerings.

  • Provide strategic guidance on product functionality, technology trends, and implementation of best practices to help clients optimize revenue and enhance customer experiences.

  • Lead structured, data-driven problem-solving efforts to address complex business challenges, ensuring solutions align with CSG and customer goals.

  • Support the design, build, test, and delivery of technically viable solutions as outlined in contracts and Statements of Work.

  • Offer feedback to Product Development teams on market trends, customer needs, and potential enhancements.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, related field or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years of experience in the sales and/or customer support of software products and services within the cable, utilities, tolling, collections, government, financial, or insurance markets

  • 5+ years in a leadership role

  • Strong track record of building and maintaining strategic client relationships

  • Demonstrated success in revenue generation, business development, and service optimization

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to navigate complex business challenges

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to leverage data-driven insights for decision-making

  • Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment

Position Pay Range:

This range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to geographical location and experience.

$126,547.51-$202,476.22

This role is eligible for a bonus opportunity.
