The Director of Sales New Business is responsible for driving revenue growth through new business acquisition, overseeing the sales team, and ensuring that sales goals and performance metrics are met. This position will lead efforts to penetrate new markets, establish key customer relationships, and drive expansion of the company's business offerings. The Director will also focus on the development and retention of talent, while ensuring the sales team is trained and equipped to meet the needs of the business.

As Director of Sales New Business, you will guide your team of Sales Managers to achieve and exceed their sales targets while maintaining a strong pipeline of prospects. You will work closely with senior leadership to craft and execute sales strategies, enhance account acquisition, and identify new opportunities for growth within your team's target accounts. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong sales background and proven leadership experience.


Here’s what this position is all about:

•    Lead efforts to drive revenue growth and achieve new business goals
•    Ensure accurate forecasting and healthy sales pipelines
•    Identify, recruit, and retain top-tier talent to meet business objectives
•    Oversee talent development initiatives and ensure consistent field training
•    Train Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) to ensure sales effectiveness
•    Cultivate and manage key customer relationships and identify new business opportunities
•    Open new markets and expand the company’s reach in untapped regions
•    Keep leadership informed about market trends, technological developments, and competitive intelligence
•    Promote and ensure maximum utilization of CRM to drive team success
•    Provide valuable feedback for process improvements to streamline sales activities
•    Contribute to the long-term strategic direction of the sales organization
•    Analyze business trends and market conditions to create actionable strategies
•    Oversee individual and team performance in accordance with SEI Performance Management systems
•    Establish measurable team goals and ensure that ROI metrics and performance expectations are met
•    Continuously mentor and develop leadership potential within the team through regular feedback and development plans

What we are hoping you can bring to the role:

  • 5-8 years in leadership roles, preferably within a global organization 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM Software - Salesforce preferred
  • Experience managing or leading a high-performing sales team, preferably in the B2B space
  • Results-driven, sets ambitious goals and take initiative 
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
