Since launching in 2019, we've brought our unbelievably tasty cereal to over one million customers online and over 20,000 stores nationwide. With our recently launched Protein Treats and Protein Granola we're continuing to find new ways to make mornings magical - all made possible by our incredible team.

We're looking for an experienced sales leader to drive growth in our mass channel business. You'll be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans while building strong relationships with key mass retailers to accelerate Magic Spoon's retail expansion. This role will report into the Head of Sales and is a remote position (with expectation to visit the Tribeca NY office at least once per Q).

In this role you'll:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive customer-specific business plans that align with Magic Spoon's growth strategy
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior buyers and category managers at mass retailers
  • Lead joint business planning sessions and annual category reviews with key accounts
  • Manage broker relationships to ensure effective execution of sales strategies
  • Develop and optimize trade promotion strategies to maximize ROI
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing) to ensure successful execution of promotional programs and new product launches
  • Create compelling sales presentations and category stories leveraging market data and consumer insights
  • Monitor category and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities
  • Lead innovation sell-in process for mass channel
  • Provide accurate forecasts for volumes and revenue for assigned accounts
  • Attend trade association meetings and trade shows as needed
Requirements
  • 8+ years of CPG sales experience with significant Mass channel expertise 
  • Proven track record of delivering results and growing brands in mass channel
  • Strong understanding of syndicated sales data (Neilsen, IRI, or Spins) and ability to leverage data and analytics in building convincing data based sales stories
  • Experience managing broker relationships and trade promotion planning
  • Excellence in joint business planning and category management
  • Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Must be self-driven, results oriented, and able to drive sales while working independently
  • Willingness to travel to customers and NYC HQ as needed
