About the Role

As a Director of Risk Management and Internal Audit, under the direction of the Chief Compliance & Risk Officer, you will lead the internal audit, exam readiness, and risk management functions.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute internal audit plans, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Maintain program to identify, assess, and mitigate enterprise risks, collaborating across teams to ensure effective risk controls
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive work plan to ensure organizational preparedness for external regulatory exams
  • Partner with key stakeholders including Compliance, Legal, Finance, and Operations to align risk management strategies with business objectives
  • Provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership, translating audit and risk findings into actionable strategies that enhance business resilience

What You’ll Bring 

  • 6+ years of internal audit, risk management, or a related field, preferably in a leadership role
  • Proven ability to establish programs, recommend best practices, operate independently, and collaborate with executive leadership to implement enterprise-level solutions
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory compliance and exam readiness processes in the health insurance field or another highly regulated industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Sidecar Health adopts a market-based approach to compensation, where base pay varies depending on location and is further influenced by job-related skills and experience. The current expected salary range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000.
