We are looking for a Paid Social Strategy Director to join our team to drive the success of paid social strategy, innovation and best-in-class performance for our client’s brand.  You have a thorough understanding of all major social platforms, the ability to build deep relationships with platform partners and understand how they can potentially impact our client and the customer base they target. The development and  communications of these strategies will be a critical element and will need to be articulated clearly to non technical stakeholders so they can see the value PMG brings. This person will be responsible for leading full year partnerships, testing and learning strategies and strategic plans for a leading innovator in the social place.

You will be a leading voice for senior-level client relationships and provide key social media subject matter expertise and thought leadership to drive innovation, manage team priorities, and lead content.  As a Director of Paid Social, you will also lead junior-level team members and nurture their strategic acumen as well as develop their careers.  

Responsibilities

  •   Have ownership of the overall health of your client’s paid social media strategy across all core social platforms and emerging platforms as necessary. 
  •   Lead paid social strategy, innovation, testing and learning roadmaps and measurement plans, ongoing data analysis and presenting results and insights for our brand partners and internal teams.
  •   Serve as the key point of contact with client leadership and platform representatives, with ultimate responsibility for improving and growing client and platform relationships. 
  •   Drive collaboration with Social team members, other PMG groups, and platform partners to monitor and optimize campaigns on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. 
  •   Gain expertise in PMG’s proprietary technology platform Alli to create fit-for-purpose data analysis and reporting. Alli is core to PMG’s technology leadership and allows everyone to work smarter, provide immediate and meaningful insights, and maintain agility in the fast-paced world of social media management. 
  •   Bring your personal best every day to support the brands we serve and lead your team to ensure that projects are executed against expected timelines and budgets and achieve strategic objectives. 

Qualifications

  •   9+ years of progressive experience working in digital media and paid social where you were responsible for social media strategy, planning and buying; maintaining multi-million dollar client budgets; driving implementation and execution; and leading reporting and optimization. A background of in-platform execution will be necessary to help lead a highly complex innovation strategy. 
  •   2+ years of supervisory/people management experience in digital with responsibility for people leadership, training, and career coaching for both technical and soft skills. 
  •   Proven problem solving skills and a data-driven mindset with experience utilizing data analysis tools (SQL is a plus, but not required) for ongoing and ad hoc data reporting, as well as ability to present data stories and insights to internal teams, client partners, and platform representatives for continuous improvement
  •   Desire to work in a truly collaborative team environment with constant communication, while being self-motivated and willing to execute and perform with minimal supervision
  •   A high level of emotional intelligence and a passion for service, learning, and growth - the social media landscape is always evolving and you’ll need to be forward-thinking and adaptable to keep the brands we support top of mind for consumers.
  •   Excellent communication and presentation skills with client executives and a hyper-attention to detail across all internal and client analysis and communications.
