About the Role:

The Director of FP&A is a strategic role that serves as a cornerstone of financial forecasting and business strategy for Ouro. This individual will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the FP&A team, driving the development of complex financial models, and synthesizing data into actionable insights that inform company-wide decision-making. With a keen eye for detail and a forward-looking perspective, the Director of FP&A will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the company, ensuring fiscal discipline, and identifying growth opportunities. Balancing analytical acumen with effective communication skills, they are instrumental in translating financial concepts to stakeholders and aligning financial plans with organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and overseeing the financial planning process, including long-term forecasting, annual budgets, and rolling forecasts to guide the organization's financial strategy

  • Providing strategic analyses and recommendations to executive management, including insights on revenue growth, cost reduction opportunities, and capital investment

  • Leading the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and providing analysis on variances and trends

  • Collaborating with senior leadership to define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with the company's strategic goals

  • Managing the FP&A team, including hiring, training, and professional development to build a high-performing team

  • Driving the financial modeling efforts to support decision-making for new initiatives, pricing changes, product launches, and business expansion

  • Conducting competitor analysis and market research to inform strategic planning and maintain a competitive edge

  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between financial plans and operational strategies

  • Advising on risk management and implementing financial controls to safeguard the organization's assets

  • Facilitating the capital allocation process, ensuring resources are optimally deployed to support business priorities

  • Enhancing financial systems and processes to improve forecasting accuracy, reporting efficiency, and data-driven decision-making

  • Communicating financial insights and strategic recommendations effectively to internal stakeholders, including ELT and department heads

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in the FinTech or financial services industry. Payments experience preferred

  • Proven track record of driving financial strategy, planning, and performance in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a diverse team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.

  • Deep understanding of the financial services or FinTech industry.

  • Experience working with financial technology platforms, systems, and tools
