WHAT TO EXPECT 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Digital Strategy to join our dynamic advertising agency. As a Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our clients' digital marketing initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement comprehensive digital strategies that align with our client's business objectives and drive exceptional results across various online platforms.

You will lead and oversee the digital strategy and execution across all digital offerings within our marketing agency. This role involves managing creative teams and digital strategists to drive growth across both B2B and DTC clients. The Director will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive digital marketing plans that include paid social, email funnels, programmatic advertising, and other growth initiatives. While the focus will be on paid efforts, knowledge of growth opportunities across the web such as upsells and landing page modification to increase conversions, and traditional initiatives such as mailers and traditional media, will be critical to ensure all efforts can convert at the highest levels.

This role will work closely with Digital Specialists in Paid Social, Email, Ecommerce, Search and beyond. Helping translate strategy into execution, as well as synthesizing results and insights.  

Preferred experience includes familiarity with key platforms such as Google, Meta, TikTok, Instacart, StackAdapt, Klaviyo, Reddit, Shopify, GTM, GA4, and LinkedIn. Proficiency in most of these channels is essential, while expertise across all would make you a standout. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of digital marketing strategies across all channels, including paid social, email/sms, programmatic advertising, SEO/SEM, and content marketing.
     
  • Collaborate with creative teams, strategists, and analysts to create cohesive and impactful campaigns that meet client objectives and drive measurable results.
     
  • Oversee the budgeting, planning, and execution of digital marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with client goals, brand guidelines, and established KPIs.
     
  • Partner with the Creative, Accounts, and Operations teams to ensure integrated marketing efforts across all touchpoints, leveraging cross-channel synergies to maximize impact.
     
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key digital platforms, technology partners, and vendors to stay ahead of industry trends and ensure best-in-class execution.
     
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of digital marketing activities, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement and optimization.
     
  • Stay current on competitor activities, digital marketing trends, and emerging technologies to ensure the agency remains at the forefront of the industry.
     
  • Lead and mentor a team of digital strategists, creative professionals, and marketing specialists, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
     
  • Create detailed reports, presentations, and campaign recaps to communicate results, insights, and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.
     
  • Ensure that all digital marketing initiatives are executed within budget, on time, and in alignment with client expectations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a proven track record of leading successful digital campaigns across multiple channels. Agency experience is a plus.
     
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing ecosystems, including paid social, email marketing, programmatic advertising, SEO/SEM, and content marketing.
     
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategies and concepts to clients and internal teams.
     
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience using data and metrics to assess the effectiveness of marketing programs and make informed decisions.
     
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
     
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams.
     
  • Ability to stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
     
  • Experience with marketing automation tools, CRM platforms, and digital analytics software.
     
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The target salary for this position is $92,000, plus full benefits and profit share. There is no sales quota, outbound sales metrics, as well as no sales-based commission for this role. Rather you will be eligible for the same benefits and profit share opportunity as the full team.

We offer competitive salaries, a healthy benefits package (medical, dental, vision, and life), 401k with matching contribution, annual cost of living salary adjustments, education reimbursement programs, 20 days of PTO (vacation and sick time), and 7 paid holidays.

We are a profit-share agency, dispersing up to 25% of total agency profits to the team each quarter. For the 2023 year, most fully vested employees received approximately 8% of their salary in profit share payments. Each year we strive to improve our offering and take care of our team.
