As Director of Cybersecurity Alerting Strategy at Dataminr, you will be a critical leader on Dataminr’s R&D team, working with AI scientists, Product leaders and SMEs to bring the next generation of cybersecurity capabilities to Dataminr’s best-in-class alerting platform. You will play both a strategic and technical role in the development of AI models tailored to cybersecurity use cases and be a key liaison to Dataminr Go-To-Market teams on cybersecurity business opportunities. This role can be fully remote for candidates based anywhere in the US.

The opportunity

  • Work alongside the AI and R&D teams to develop, train and finetune AI alerting models for a broad range of cybersecurity use cases. 

  • Serve as Cyber SME with a deep understanding of the solution landscape and customer pain points for security operation teams and present requirements for both technical and non-technical teams. 

  • Work alongside senior leadership to develop Dataminr’s cybersecurity alerting strategy aligned with business growth and revenue opportunities. 

  • Work closely with the product team to identify feature gaps and contribute to the development of new functionalities that enhance integration and user experience.

  • Drive the incorporation of new data feeds into the Dataminr alerting platform to continually enrich Dataminr’s cybersecurity alerting.

  • Provide active support to Go-To-Market teams on cybersecurity business opportunities.

  • Lead periodic enablement sessions, workshops and seminars with internal stakeholders. 

  • Represent the range of Dataminr alerting capabilities and use cases to cybersecurity customers and prospects

What you bring

  • 7+ years in a senior-level SME role in charge of threat research, collections, or Product at a CTI vendor. 

  • Deep CTI subject-matter expertise across vulnerability intelligence, exploit intelligence, malware, phishing, ICS and more. 

  • Extensive experience working with cybersecurity datasources such as C2 sensor networks, Deep and Dark Web, code repositories and social media.  

  • Thorough knowledge of the cybersecurity SaaS space as well as SIEM, SOAR and TIP platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Google SecOps, Cortex XSOAR, Swimlane, Anomali, ThreatConnect, ThreatQ).

  • Experience leading presentations with internal stakeholders including technical staff, Go-To-Market and C-Suite.

  • Self-motivation and an ability to handle multiple competing priorities; very strong attention to detail. 

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, and SANS would be a plus

The annual base salary range for this position is $124,000 - $182,000. Actual salary will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, applicant skills, and prior relevant experience.

In addition to the benefits set forth above, the compensation package for this role also includes an annual discretionary bonus.
