The Director of Claims Initiatives will serve as a key strategic advisor and operations leader, working closely with the SVP, Chief Claims Officer to drive critical initiatives, improve efficiency, and align the claims organization with corporate objectives. What you’d be doing:

  • Provide analysis, recommendations, and strategic insight on a variety of claims-related initiatives, serving as a trusted advisor to the SVP, Chief Claims Officer
  • Assist in developing and implementing operational and strategic plans that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the claims organization.
  • Lead and oversee high-priority projects, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and successful execution.
  • Analyze key claims performance metrics and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and deliver executive-level presentations, reports, and dashboards that tell a compelling story of key initiatives, strategic priorities, operational insights, and recommendations.
  • Act as a liaison between the SVP, Chief Claims Officer, and internal stakeholders, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment on key initiatives.
  • Oversee and manage cross-functional initiatives, coordinating efforts and projects across various teams within the claims department ensuring that they meet deadlines and intended outcomes.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on key action items from meetings and strategic discussions, tracking progress and accountability.
  • Represent the SVP, Chief Claims Officer in meetings, when necessary, and provide leadership in driving initiatives forward.

We’re looking for someone who has: 

  • 7+ years of experience in property insurance, operations, or consulting within the property insurance industry.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Expertise in project management, with a proven track record of successfully executing large-scale initiatives (PMP certification is a plus).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and other data visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Highly preferred candidates also have: 

  • Prior experience as a Chief of Staff. 
  • Project management or leadership certifications, such as CPMP or PMP, are beneficial.
