MK Analytics is looking for a full-time Data Engineer. Ideal candidates are positive-minded and enjoy working collaboratively to drive productivity while helping promote team culture. This position entails creating and maintaining data pipelines tailored to our client's needs, ensuring the seamless management of large, complex, and access-challenged data sets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for data loading, cleansing, and identifying and rectifying errors, omissions, and inconsistencies. Collaboration with data scientists is crucial, as this role is integral to the analytical team. All hires report directly to the co-founders.

WHO WE THINK MIGHT BE A GREAT FIT:

2-5 years of relevant experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, master’s degree a plus

Proficient in Python, with other languages a plus (e.g.., JavaScript, Neo4j)

Proficient in database creation and maintenance, including SQL, NoSQL, or Graph databases

Proven experience with:

Extracting, transforming, cleaning, and joining large, disparate, and dirty data

Collecting and combining data using web scraping, APIs, and public data repositories

Operating cloud-based computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, etc.)

Utilizing command line tools and git version control technology

Creating shared tools, libraries, and/or modular code

Experience in securing data storage systems and a plus (e.g., AWS IAM Identity Center, roles, and policies)
