Summary

The Data Analyst  is a business oriented technical function responsible for transforming raw data into actionable and meaningful analyses.  The individual who fills this role will help business users develop key indicators, identify supporting datasets and build/support repeatable datashboards and reporting mechenisms as well as service ad-hoc data requests to help in decision support processes

Responsibilities

  • Transform raw data into actionable and meaningful analyses
  • Work with a cross-functional team to define and clarify analytic requirements, develop analysis plans, and ensure data quality standards
  • Identify key metrics and develop dashboards and/or reports to better the understanding of service delivery performance
  • Establish and maintain strong business partnerships and cross-functional relationships to provide decision support
  • Document data requirements and think through complex problems to make actionable recommendations
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analyses

Qualifications

Education/Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

Required

  • 3-5 years of analytics or quantitative experience in which you extracted meaningful insights from a variety of mixed datasets
  • Prior experience with utilizing BI tools such as Tableau, QlickView, Microsoft Power BI or Microstrategy
  • Advanced Knowledge of SQL (MS SQL Server/Oracle)
  • Basic knowledge of ETL Data Migration tools such as Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

Preferred

  • A track record for providing reproducible analyses, experience with R or python a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, vlookups, vba), VSTO is a plus
