As a Data Acquisition Analyst at Socure, you will play a key role in expanding and managing our global data assets to support Socure’s mission of verifying 100% of good identities in real time while eliminating identity fraud. Reporting to the Senior Data Acquisition Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate, onboard, and manage third-party data providers. This role is instrumental in ensuring the quality, scalability, and compliance of the data we acquire to power Socure’s industry-leading risk and identity verification products.

Role and Responsibilities:

Vendor and Data Management:

  • Support the evaluation, onboarding, and management of data vendors for multiple product lines, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Assist in the preparation of RFIs and RFPs to gather and evaluate vendor capabilities, compliance, and performance.

  • Maintain organized documentation of purchased data, track engaged vendors and monitor usage of different data sets. 

Collaboration and Strategy Support

  • Prioritize the acquisition of diverse data sources that enhance the inclusivity of our verification processes, reflecting our commitment to diversity and ensuring fair and equitable identity verification for all.

  • Understand and be familiar with all Socure products to gain an understanding of the value of the data needed to ensure high quality product performance

  • Conduct research to identify and evaluate new data sources that align with Socure’s strategic priorities and enhance our products’ inclusivity and performance.

  • Participate in cross-functional meetings, representing the Data Acquisition team to align on priorities and objectives.

  • Collaborate with the Legal team to ensure proper diligence is performed on regulated data sets.

Data Quality and Integration

  • Assist in due diligence on potential data sources, including quality assessments, compliance reviews, and performance testing.

  • Monitor and report on data quality metrics and vendor performance to drive continuous improvement

Operational Excellence:

  • Own day-to-day operational tasks across the data acquisition lifecycle, including vendor communication and issue resolution.

  • Track and document cost/value metrics for acquired data to support decision-making and budgeting.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and make recommendations to enhance efficiency.

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Business, related discipline)

  • 4-8 years of experience in data acquisition, vendor management, procurement, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data quality and business value.

  • Basic understanding of regulatory frameworks impacting data usage, such as GDPR, CCPA, and FCRA.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with experience managing documentation and tracking processes.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with data vendors in the identity verification, fraud prevention, or financial services sectors.

  • Familiarity with data integration processes and tools.

  • Knowledge of global data landscapes and trends.

  • Proficiency in SQL or similar tools for data analysis.

Salary Disclosure:

Base Salary range: $125,000-150,000

This represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on factors including geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other job related factors. Socure's compensation and rewards package for full time roles includes a market competitive salary, equity,  comprehensive benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans or an annual discretionary performance bonus.
