Company

The earth beneath our feet holds extraordinary, untapped capacity to accelerate the clean energy transition. Bedrock Energy is on a mission to transform the heating and cooling of buildings, using carbon-free, hyper-efficient, and ultra-safe geothermal energy to radically reduce costs for people and the environment. Incorporated in 2022, Bedrock has raised $22M in Seed and Series A capital from top investors including Titanium Ventures, Energy Impact Partners, and Wireframe Ventures, and our work has been covered in publications like TechCrunch, Canary Media, and Axios. We’re seeking creative, collaborative, proactive team members who inspire us with their high standards of excellence, integrity, and commitment to our shared mission.

Role

As Bedrock Energy’s first Customer Engineer, you will lead the technical sales evaluation of prospective geothermal heating and cooling installations and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues and partners to successfully transition into implementation. You will define and refine the tools, processes, and systems that will enable Bedrock to scale to dozens of installations per month and millions of square feet of real estate over the next decade. As you build a deep understanding of Bedrock’s technology innovations, geothermal offerings, and real estate customer needs, you will help build the foundation of a Customer Success organization, enabling high-quality, carbon-free HVAC for Bedrock’s clients and their tenants.

Day-to-day, you will work externally with MEP and facility engineers, with property managers and real estate developers, and with construction subcontractors, distributors, and vendors. Internally, you will work closely with Bedrock’s Operations Engineering and Field Operations teams, and be a thought partner to our Software Engineering team. Supporting methodical deployment of our technology into actual construction and HVAC retrofit projects, you will help demonstrate how our innovations dramatically unlock geothermal heating and cooling at scale. By creating project conditions in which Bedrock’s technology and installations can shine, you will strengthen Bedrock’s reputation for quality, safety, and integrity, and the early foundation of our entire company’s culture and standards of excellence.

  • Provide feedback to Bedrock’s Engineering team to improve the design software they build for you
  • Collaborate with company leadership and other functional owners to understand, prioritize, and develop new operational capabilities as Bedrock grows
  • Perform other project operations tasks, as assigned by Bedrock’s leadership
  • Travel 1-2 times per month for studies, sales, implementation, or team strategy
