Overview:

The Contract Specialist will manage the negotiation, editing, execution, and administration of contracts to ensure compliance with our legal and business requirements. Reporting to our General Counsel, this role sits on the Operations team and also works closely with other internal stakeholders, such as the sales team. This is a client facing position and requires interpersonal skills to reasonably negotiate terms in an efficient way while still maintaining adherence to Ethisphere’s legal and business conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate terms of contracts with clients, including:
    • Reviewing and editing form contracts
    • Amending client contracts to satisfy specific client engagements
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to understand the legal implications of the services and products we provide
  • Collaborate with legal team and company-wide regarding contracts and client relationships
  • Manage contract files and documentation
    • Suggest and implement improvements to ensure contracts are organized and tracked after execution
    • Utilize technology and tools to provide meaningful insights and support decision-making.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience drafting and negotiating contracts
    • Experience with intellectual property ownership, confidentiality, and privacy preferred
  • Juris Doctorate or Paralegal certificate preferred but focus is on experience
  • Willingness to work virtually
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong writing/editorial skills
  • Strong phone presence
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Interview Process: 

  • 30 min Zoom call with HR
  • 1 hour Zoom call with Hiring Manager
  • 1.5 hour Zoom call with HR and Hiring Manager - Deep Dive Interview.
