About Bright Harbor

Bright Harbor helps people recover after natural disasters by providing expert guidance and innovative digital tools that streamline and accelerate the recovery process. We make disaster recovery faster, easier, and more affordable, empowering our clients to rebuild with confidence.

In just four months since our launch, we’ve supported hundreds of families and businesses, helping them navigate more than $400M in recovery spend effectively.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a founding member of the marketing team to build the playbook that brings Bright Harbor’s essential recovery support to millions of disaster survivors. The marketing team is small and incredibly fast-paced, and we care deeply about the quality of our work because what we do really matters.

In this role, you’ll develop rapid response campaigns to educate survivors and their loved ones, tell deeply emotional and human stories that center the survivor experience, and cultivate a trusted brand in the process. We don’t believe in gatekeeping, so this role is extremely important: there’s a lot for us to share, the stakes are high, and it’s important that we do it with intention, craft, and speed.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

As our Marketing Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving our brand's growth and engagement. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of creative flair, strategic thinking, and hands-on experience. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. DTC Campaign Management

    • Develop, execute, and manage marketing campaigns targeting consumers from conception to completion

    • Set clear objectives, timelines, and KPIs for each campaign

    • Analyze campaign performance and provide data-driven insights for optimization

  2. Content Creation and Strategy

    • Craft compelling, high-quality written content for various platforms and audiences

    • Develop a content strategy that aligns with our brand voice and marketing goals

    • Effectively communicate complex concepts in an accessible manner—ideally you should have some experience creating educational content

    • Oversee the creation and distribution of diverse content types, including blog posts, social media content, email newsletters, email marketing, slides, video scripts and other marketing collateral

    • Design and video editing skills are not required but are strongly preferred

  1. Product Marketing

    • Collaborate with product teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies

    • Create product messaging and positioning that resonates with our target audience

    • Produce product-focused content, including feature highlights, use cases, and customer success stories

  2. Brand

    • Demonstrate impeccable taste and judgment in high-stakes situations

    • Maintain and evolve our brand's style and aesthetic across all marketing materials

    • Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all channels

    • Contribute to the development of our brand voice and personality

Why Join Bright Harbor?

  • Climate Adaptation Focused: Be part of a company working to address one of the most critical issues of our time—adapting our communities to climate change.

  • Impactful Work: Join a mission-driven team that’s making a tangible difference in people’s lives.

  • Performance Culture: Be part of a world-class team with a strong culture that values performance, integrity, and creativity.

  • Growth Opportunities: Play a key role in the company’s growth, with ample opportunities for career advancement.
