What’s the role?

As a Channel Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our reach and market share through our broker channel. You will be responsible for prospecting, developing, and managing relationships with insurance brokers, and driving profitable sales growth through these partnerships:

Net New Growth:  You’ll be tasked with net new sales growth within a large pool of existing broker partnerships, as well as prospecting for new partners. You’ll be responsible for developing joint business plans with your partners to identify their needs and help them achieve their goals, while helping Jellyvision hit revenue and profitability targets. Within your assigned partners, you will work to find new offices, producers, and account executives for net new business. Within your assigned territory, you will work to find new groups, as well as new broker offices, producers, and account executives for net new business.  You’ll have a ton of influence on that process, and we’ll be eager for your feedback at every stage.

Full Partnership Support: While you’ll be tasked with hunting for net new business within our broker partnerships, our partners have existing business with our account management and customer success teams. You will be the face of the partnership to our brokers, and will work with the account management team to help mitigate customer churn and provide an escalation point within our partnerships.

Channel Understanding: Get to know brokers’ problems, pains, priorities and goals. Share that knowledge with our product, sales and service teams to help guide Jellyvision towards being even more helpful. You’ll help us help brokers who are looking for innovative solutions to reduce employee confusion.

What you’ll do to be successful

    1) Prospect for new business and maintain existing customers

  • Serve as the point of contact for your assigned patch of broker account teams, focused on net new business; prospect directly with companies in your territory for net new business
  • Work with the producers, account executives, and account managers to develop and launch the Jellyvision footprint within their book of business to increase our total business with each partner.
  • Travel to offices to conduct agency presentations or attend conferences and industry events for your partners. Up to 50% travel.

    2) Become the expert on your partners

  • As you get to know your partners, you’ll be able to provide your manager with reports on the overall health of the offices in your patch to help the channel team facilitate business reviews with the leadership teams of our national partners.
  • Work closely with our marketing team to develop partner specific materials that help your partners do their jobs better and drive more opportunities.

    3) Strategically plan, prospect, educate, negotiate, support, and report sales activities

  • Execute a strategic channel sales plan that aligns with company objectives.
  • Prospect and identify high-potential insurance brokers within the assigned territory.
  • Prospect and identify potential customers within the territory, and work with them either directly or through their broker representative.

  • Negotiate and close deals with brokers, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to brokers on our products and services.
  • Track and report on sales activity, pipeline, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

We'll measure success by identification of potential prospects, movement of prospects through the sales funnel, accuracy of interactions documented in CRM, and success of nurturing leads to advance them to a potential close.
