You will join a team developing state-of-the-art general-purpose robots designed to operate in human spaces and with human tools. It is designed to work alongside humans, mobilize to human spaces, and manipulate the world around it.

The Buyer Planner is a pivotal role responsible for managing the procurement of materials and goods essential to the company’s operations. This role aligns purchasing decisions with production schedules, inventory requirements, and organizational goals to ensure seamless operations and supply chain efficiency. A strategic thinker with a keen eye for cost control, quality, and timely delivery, the Buyer Planner ensures that materials are available to meet production demands while avoiding overstocking or shortages.

By analyzing market trends, supplier performance, and internal demand forecasts, the Buyer Planner optimizes material flow, supports manufacturing processes, and minimizes disruptions. This role directly contributes to the company’s operational success, customer satisfaction, and competitive edge in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Procurement: Develop and implement procurement strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels and align with production schedules.
  • Supplier Management: Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams in production, quality assurance, and engineering to ensure material specifications are met.
  • Purchase Order Management: Oversee the purchase order process, from creation to closure, adjusting as needed to address evolving demands or supplier challenges.
  • Risk Mitigation: Implement risk management strategies to address potential supply chain disruptions.
  • Inventory Control: Conduct regular reviews of inventory to minimize excess or obsolete stock and ensure efficient resource utilization.


Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in production planning, inventory management, and procurement of electromechanical parts and assemblies.
  • New Product introduction procurement experience.
  • Strong understanding of bills of materials (BOM) and their role in manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ownership of the purchasing process with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, technology tools, and computer skills.
  • Experience in procurement and planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Self-motivated, independent worker with exceptional follow-through and a strong focus on team success.
