About the team and the role:
This role leads demand planning, forecasting, and budget optimization for eBay Core Technology, involving software contract management, financial oversight, and strategic sourcing. Key responsibilities include handling software demand, optimizing team procedures, and collaborating with various business areas and senior leadership. The ideal candidate has experience in business operations, forecasting, contract management, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, along with collaboration skills and the ability to develop strategic solutions in a large organization.
What you will accomplish:

Take end-to-end ownership of the budget, including vendor management, quarterly forecasts, identifying savings and risks, and new budget requests.

Work closely with Legal, Infosec, Privacy, and Third Party Risk Management teams to finalize legal agreements (e.g., Purchase Agreements, Licence Agreements, SOWs, and Renewals).

Assess software compliance and risk exposure during onboarding and periodically thereafter.

Promptly and professionally address and resolve vendor onboarding, payment issues, and disputes.

Spearhead and handle business contract discussions and vendor negotiations.

Evaluate potential projects, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and prioritize budget spending to optimize value.
What you will bring:
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience or equivalent practical experience, preferably in business, technology, or finance.

Five years of vendor management experience in strategic sourcing, business operations, program management, or related field
-
Experience handling contracts as a software asset management or technology sourcing manager
-
Experience in handling budgets and driving cost reduction programs
-
Experience presenting and communicating with senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years experience handling cross-functional projects with technical and non-technical partners

5+ years experience in the technology industry

Familiarity with Source-to-Pay (S2P), Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, ITSM tools, project planning tools (ex: ServiceNow, Monday.com, Ariba, etc.)
