Job Profile Summary

Responsible for leading recurring organizational and operational functions of the organization to enable greater efficiency and increased quality on output. Ensures the development and execution of an appropriate business strategy, owns key operational processes, and works with departments both across the business unit and within other business units to ensure business goals are being met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads team to establish strategic priorities. Works cross functionally with other business leaders, and works on business issues that affect and improve Rackspace as a company, in addition to their team’s goals.
  • Works cross functionally with departmental leaders directly to provide solutions on a variety of programs that are mission critical to the on-going success of the business.
  • Drives resolution of strategic issues affecting current and future business. Manages relationships with internal and external strategic partners.
  • Accountable for core operational processes, such as capitalization, workforce planning, and budget management, and insures that weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business activities occur on-schedule.
  • Creates, deploys, and insures continual operation of core business processes.
  • Collaborates with other members of leadership to create staff development plans.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where data requires complex analysis.
  • Communicate findings to leadership and to the broader organization by preparing polished presentations and identifying key takeaways.

Knowledge

  • Advanced understanding of Rackspace’s strategic partners, vision, and roadmap
  • Advanced knowledge of competitors’ offerings, as well as their strengths and weaknesses is essential
  • Expert level communication skills including with senior level executives
  • Expert level powerpoint and excel skills
  • Self starter and ability to solve complex problems
  • Program management experience and/or experience leading strategic initiatives

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or regional equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in field related to role. At the manager’s discretion, additional relevant experience may substitute degree requirement
  • 8 - 10 years of relevant work experience required
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in direct people management required
  • Travel domestically up to 10% possible
