POSITION: Business Development Manager

Over the past two years, SunWorks has acquired nine commercial landscaping companies in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, and Texas. Our companies provide recurring landscape maintenance services to corporate campuses, universities, office parks, retail centers, light industrial properties, and homeowners associations. With strong organic growth and an aggressive acquisition strategy, we aim to build the largest privately held commercial landscaping business in the country. SunWorks is backed by Alpine Investors, a private equity firm specializing in middle market companies in the services and software industries with over $6.5bn of lifetime committed capital.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SunWorks is looking at growing our organization and are currently in search of a business development associate. We are looking for an individual who has strong integrity, a team player, great interpersonal/communication skills, and a want to develop long term relationships. We are looking for someone who is skilled at researching market trends, building client relationships, and supporting business development teams.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and conduct outreach to prospects. Set up meetings for our business development team.
- Coordinate events, lunch and learns, and seminars to increase potential client awareness
- Building a client profile for each lead obtained
- Attend industry tradeshows and functions
- Work with social media marketing to put out relevant posts and information
- Collaborate with operations to ensure that all requirements are met.
- Maintaining a database cataloging all interactions with clients and all leads that are obtained
- Must be highly self-motivated
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting
- Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to learn quickly and immerse yourself in our company culture
- 0-1 years of experience in business sales preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, Google Docs
- Must be professional, driven, have a positive attitude, good communication and follow up skills and be a relationship builder who is self-motivated and persistent.
