Forbes Vetted is seeking an experienced Branded Content Writer to join our growing commerce team. This role will be responsible for creating Forbes Vetted paid/sponsored content, which currently consists of sponsored articles, paid inclusions in editorial content, newsletters, SMS/push notifications, social campaigns and video. You will work closely with the business development and partnerships team to plan and execute sponsored content packages as well coordinate with the editorial team to ensure paid content is on-brand and aligns with the greater editorial strategy of Forbes Vetted. This role reports to the Senior Branded Content Editor. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Pitching and creating paid content in the form of sponsored articles (product guides, deals roundups, new product launches), native ads, newsletters, social campaigns, SMS/push notifications and video
  • Working in partnership with the Vetted business development and editorial teams to create compelling sponsored content, using strategic insights and analyses to maximize performance
  • Researching editorial content performance to strategize paid content inclusions
  • Participating in sales event content planning and assisting with coverage
  • Working with the associated branded content editor and senior branded content editor to plan the branded content calendar  

The ideal candidate:

  • Has 2-3+ years of experience creating sponsored content 
  • Thrives working cross-functionally with both internal and external partners
  • Is a generalist able to cover categories such as home, fashion, wellness and tech 
  • Has a strong understanding of affiliate/commerce content strategy 
  • Has impeccable writing and reporting skills, particularly experience writing about products 
  • Is user-focused and understands editorial independence, but can deftly balance this with the needs of the business 
  • Can quickly learn and adapt to new tools and processes
  • Has experience working within a collaborative editorial team

The annual base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $80,000.
