We are seeking an Automation Software Developer experienced in C++ to develop and maintain control software for our industrial automation systems. You will work closely with DC and AC servos, VFDs, PLCs, and PC-based user interfaces to ensure seamless operation of our machinery. This role requires both the ability to debug existing code and the development of new code to support new product lines.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain software for machinery control systems, including DC/AC servos, VFDs, and PLCs.
- Create PC-based user interfaces for machine control and monitoring.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in both new and existing code.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate software with existing and new hardware.
- Participate in the development of new products, including writing software and interfacing with hardware components.
- Work on both legacy systems and new projects, interfacing with existing products and code.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in C++ development, particularly with Visual Studio.
- Experience working with DC/AC servos, VFDs, and PLCs in an automation environment.
- Ability to develop and troubleshoot PC-based user interfaces.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Experience interfacing with existing products and systems in an industrial setting.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience in automation systems or industrial machinery.
- Familiarity with servo control systems and other hardware integration.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own development and debugging processes.
- Open to working as a contractor with potential for full-time or expanded role.
