ABOUT THIS ROLE
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support organizational needs.
- Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
- Write clean and efficient code in Golang for various platform tools and services.
- Collaborate with development teams to automate processes, implement DevOps practices, and troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments.
- Monitor system performances, optimize workflows, and carry out capacity planning.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters for orchestration and management of Docker containers.
- Ensure compliance with security regulations and best practices.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
- Stay updated with new technologies and advocate for their adoption where beneficial.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer or in a similar role with a strong focus on cloud environments, specifically Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficient in using CI/CD tools such as ArgoCD and GitHub Actions.
- Strong experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, especially Docker and Kubernetes.
- Demonstrated programming skills in Golang.
- Solid understanding of network configurations, cloud architecture, and security principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
- Certifications in Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.
- Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Previous experience in mentoring or leading teams.
