ABOUT THIS ROLE
Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support organizational needs.
  • Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
  • Write clean and efficient code in Golang for various platform tools and services.
  • Collaborate with development teams to automate processes, implement DevOps practices, and troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments.
  • Monitor system performances, optimize workflows, and carry out capacity planning.
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters for orchestration and management of Docker containers.
  • Ensure compliance with security regulations and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Stay updated with new technologies and advocate for their adoption where beneficial.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer or in a similar role with a strong focus on cloud environments, specifically Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proficient in using CI/CD tools such as ArgoCD and GitHub Actions.
  • Strong experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, especially Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Demonstrated programming skills in Golang.
  • Solid understanding of network configurations, cloud architecture, and security principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.


Preferred:

  • Certifications in Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Previous experience in mentoring or leading teams.
