As the Associate Product Manager, Water Quality, you will develop, launch, and support new business opportunities that enhance the Watts Applied Solutions platform, focusing on technologies, products, and services required in a consumer-focused portfolio. Collaborating cross-functionally, you will create and execute a strategic roadmap for new products by conducting market research, gathering customer data, analyzing user feedback to contribute to product development and strategy, while gaining hands-on experience in the product lifecycle and services, ensuring business and product recommendations achieve desired sales and margin performance.

You Will:

  • Identify customer needs and forefront technologies for residential water quality.
  • Lead the product life cycle by developing brand roadmaps, specifying market requirements, and championing growth initiatives from concept to launch.
  • Conduct market research and voice-of-customer activities to validate market and competitive dynamics.
  • Develop business cases, specifications, and guide product realization with Engineering through StageGate process.
  • Stay current with compliance legislation.
  • Collaborate with customers and product managers to refine product value propositions, addressing competitive advantages and areas needing change.
  • Create sales tools, case studies, literature, and multimedia collateral to drive product adoption.
  • Provide cross-training for sales managers and support teams, assisting through each product’s lifecycle.
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies, promotions, and campaigns.
  • Evaluate go-to-market channels, ensuring optimal sales effectiveness for new platform offerings.
  • Be a product champion, able to educate the market on new technologies and trends.
  • Visit customers to understand product performance and market needs.
  • Develop an understanding of competitor strategies, tactics, and products.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field (engineering, sciences).
  • 1-3+ years of experience in technical sales, product management/marketing, applications/engineering within the HVAC industry.
  • Knowledge of the retail environment and unique challenges the channel presents.
  • Proven track record managing new product introductions and product life cycle.
  • Broad professional experience in product development, sales, and marketing functions.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

The expected salary range for this position is $80 - $100k yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
