As an Analytics Engagement Manager at Definitive Healthcare, you will play a critical role in helping BioPharma clients drive meaningful outcomes from our healthcare data assets. You'll serve as a strategic advisor and technical partner to your customers, ensuring successful onboarding, seamless data integration, and long-term adoption of our data products and services. By aligning our offerings with each customer's business objectives, technical workflows, and analytical goals, you'll enable use cases across commercial operations, R&D, medical affairs, market access, HEOR, omnichannel strategy, and more.
The ideal candidate combines strong client-facing experience with deep domain knowledge of real-world data and healthcare analytics. You'll thrive in a cross-functional environment, working closely with Sales, Product, and Advanced Analytics teams to deliver value, retain accounts, and position Definitive Healthcare as a trusted data partner in the life sciences industry.
Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Management to drive adoption and retention of Definitive Healthcare's data products and services across life sciences customers.
  • Guide customers in operationalizing our data assets by designing and implementing real-world commercial, clinical, and operational use cases-translating business needs into actionable insights through SQL-based data transformations and interactive Tableau dashboards.
  • Lead new client onboarding by aligning on core business objectives, use cases, and success criteria; guide clients through implementation, training, and early adoption milestones.
  • Provides thought leadership both internally and externally relative to their verticalized domain and the application of healthcare commercial intelligence to complex business problems.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients by providing thought leadership on healthcare commercial intelligence, real-world data (RWD), and analytics applications in life sciences.
  • Deliver consultative insights during QBRs and executive conversations by showcasing strategic outcomes tied to product usage, advanced analytics, and services.
  • Identify and surface upsell, cross-sell, and product replacement opportunities by deeply understanding client needs, use-case evolution, and product fit.
  • Analyze customer engagement data, usage patterns, and health scores to identify risks and opportunities, and craft proactive strategies to drive retention and growth.
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of advanced analytics, data integration, or other services projects - coordinating internal teams, managing timelines, and ensuring business impact.


Requirements

  • 5+ years in a client-facing role as a CSM, Consultant, or Solutions Engineer capacity servicing life sciences customers.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with RWD/RWE analytics, either in a delivery or advisory capacity.
  • Proven ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives.
  • Strong working knowledge of RWD/RWE datasets (e.g. open/closed claims, remittance, EMR, lab, chargemaster, SDOH, clinical trials, genomics, KOLs) and coding standards (e.g. DRG, ICD, HCPCS/CPT, NDC) and their application in bringing a drug to the commercial market.
  • Proficiency with analytics platforms (e.g. SQL, Python, Databricks, Snowflake, Tableau, APIs) and modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Background supporting biopharma commercial functions (e.g. HEOR, market access, medical affairs, R&D) a plus.
