The Google Alliance Manager is a pivotal role responsible for cultivating and strengthening strategic partnerships with Google. Nerdery aims to be the leader in AI & ML, Data Analytics, and Maps & Geospatial for Google focused services. This role is critical to achieving that goal and will act as a key contact for Google, driving mutual growth and ensuring alignment between our organization's services and Google's ecosystem. The Alliance Manager will develop and execute partnership strategies, manage key relationships, and identify new opportunities to expand our Google services offerings. This position requires a deep understanding of Google’s partner programs, sales motions, and incentives—as well as the ability to navigate Google’s complex ecosystem to unlock new opportunities for Nerdery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in partner management, alliance management, or business development, preferably within the Google ecosystem.
  • Experience in project management or program management to handle the various partner initiatives.  
  • Proven track record of building and managing successful partnerships with Google or other major technology companies.
  • Strong understanding of Google's products, services, and partnership programs (specifically, Google Cloud’s AI & ML, Data Analytics, and Maps & Geospatial products, Premier Partnership (tiers benefits, and requirements), Incentive Programs, etc).
  • Experience working in a Google services partner environment.
  • Established relationships within the google partner ecosystem.
  • Google Cloud certifications, preferable Google Cloud Digital Leader and certifications in  AI & ML, Data Analytics, and Maps & Geospatial products a plus.

What Things Will You Do As A Nerd?

Strategic Partnership Development

  • Execute on the partnership strategy with Google, aligned to the organization's business objectives.
  • Broaden and deepen Nerdery’s Google relationships, unlocking new opportunities and unblocking issues.
  • Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities to expand our Google services portfolio and lead generation opportunities..
  • Conduct regular business reviews with Google to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of Google's evolving product roadmap, partnership programs, incentive opportunities, and co-marketing / co-collaboration activities.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at Google, including PDMs, Co-Sell Leads, RIT, and Partner teams.
  • Serve as a point of contact for Google, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between internal teams and Google.
  • Organize and participate in Joint Planning sessions, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and marketing events with Google.
  • Proactively solve problems that arise within the partnership.

Business Growth and Enablement

  • Drive revenue growth through strategic partnership initiatives.
  • Collaborate with sales, delivery, solutions and marketing teams to develop joint go-to-market strategies (campaigns, co-marketing events), lead generation activities, Google communications and cadences, and delivery enablement.
  • Enable internal teams with the necessary training, enablement, and resources to effectively drive value and win-win opportunities with Google.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to partnership performance.
  • Work to increase the company's Google partner status and certifications.

Market Analysis and Reporting

  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities within the Google ecosystem.
  • Analyze partnership data to identify insights and inform strategic decisions.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on partnership performance to senior management.
  • Keep up to date on Google product updates, and industry news.
