The Role

Description
Work Arrangement
This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of (Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, Milford or Mountain View), you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.
The Role
The GM Insight Factory is seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Portfolio Manager and Communication Lead. This role is critical in managing the workload and calendar of our "Insight Factory," an end-to-end Platform as a Service (PaaS) platform that enables data scientists and data engineers to deploy comprehensive solutions in the cloud. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations, effective communication, and strategic planning within the team and with stakeholders across the organization.
What You'll Do

  • Workload and Calendar Management:
    • Organize and manage the workload and calendar for the Insight Factory team, consisting of around 15 internal members and 15 managed service members.
    • Ensure alignment of tasks and deadlines with the capabilities of our tech stack and the roadmaps of technical teams.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Representation:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, representing the complexity and technical aspects of our work.
    • Defend the principle of "Security First" in all communications and planning activities.
  • Technical Coordination:
    • Collaborate with Product Oriented Delivery (POD) teams to understand their roadmaps and technical requirements.
    • Create organized plans that align with our tech stack capabilities and ensure efficient deployment of solutions.
  • Project Management:
    • Use Jira for ticket management and Jira Service Desk for intake processes.
    • Strike the right balance in management practices, ensuring visibility and progress tracking without overwhelming developers with excessive agile ceremonies.
  • Educational Leadership:
    • Own the overall education approach for the Insight Factory.
    • Shape educational content into PowerPoint presentations for executive consumption, timelines, and Confluence pages to guide users in leveraging the system effectively.


Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience
  • 1.5 years of experience with Production AI or ML solutions.
  • 1.5 years of Portfolio Management experience.


  • Organizational Skills:
    • Proven track record of managing complex portfolio workloads and calendars.
    • Exceptional ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Strong understanding of PaaS platforms and cloud deployment.
    • Technical enough to grasp and communicate the complexity of AI/ML solutions and advanced use cases.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to create clear, concise, and engaging presentations and documentation.
  • Experience with Tools:
    • Proficiency in using Jira and Jira Service Desk for project and ticket management.
    • Experience with Confluence for documentation and knowledge sharing.
  • Leadership and Teamwork:
    • Ability to work effectively with technical teams and stakeholders.
    • Experience in leading educational initiatives and creating informative content.

Compensation: The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.

  • The salary range for this role is $83,800 - $133,900. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
