As an Account Executive at SchoolStatus, you’ll play a key role in driving sales growth and expanding our impact in K-12 education. We’re looking for a self-motivated, results-driven professional who thrives in a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of closing complex software solution deals at the district level. In this role, you’ll help school districts in Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, and Missouri unlock the full potential of our solutions—contributing to both their success and SchoolStatus’s long-term growth. Candidates must reside within the assigned territory.


The impact you'll have:

  • Possess a keen understanding of K12 buying personas and motivations and adjust communication style to match the needs of specific personas (Superintendents, CIO, CFO, CAO, etc.)
  • Build a new sales pipeline minimum of 3X quota by targeting, identifying, and qualifying new sales opportunities
  • Manage your pipeline in Salesforce with precision and provide accurate forecasting
  • Work as a trusted advisor with prospects through the complete buying cycle, including producing accurate quotes and contracts for new sales
  • Modify and tailor sales positioning and product demonstrations to meet each prospect’s specific needs
  • Travel to client meetings and industry events as necessary to represent SchoolStatus
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets for new business

What you'll bring:

  • K-12 technology software sales success with established networks of Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, CIOs, CFOs, CAOs within your territory
  • Demonstrated ability to hunt new business
  • Track record of landing large accounts in varied sales process lengths to multiple influencers and decision makers
  • High personal integrity, habitual follow-through, and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and negotiation skills
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher

Compensation: Base Range Below + Uncapped Commission 

U.S. Pay Range

$70,000$110,000 USD

Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate, and is provided pursuant to Equal Pay Laws. SchoolStatus intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, such as experience. Our team will provide more information about the total compensation package for this position during the interview process.
