The Sales Executive is a trusted advisor to customers and has an in-depth knowledge of the business and industry.  The successful Sales Executive draws on their capabilities to facilitate a business discussion by leading with industry insights, asking probing questions that challenge the customer to think critically about their current operating model, and advising clients on strategies and optimal Ethisphere solutions to help them achieve their business goals.  Key contacts are typically the General Counsel or Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer at Fortune 1000 companies.  The successful candidate will be responsible for growing revenue and developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients.

Responsibilities 

  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the ethics and compliance industry, including prospecting and lead generation, sales presentations, and closing deals through email, phone, online and in-person meetings. 
  • Identify good fit prospects and leads, initiate and facilitate initial discussions about their needs and solutions related to Ethisphere core offerings, and determine the optimal path to securing a mutually beneficial partnership. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships as a trusted advisor with key decision-makers and influencers at client organizations. 
  • Consult with customers to understand their needs and growth goals, and partner with them to identify opportunities to meet and exceed their objectives. 
  • Collaborate with our internal teams to understand customer needs and develop sales approaches and tailored campaigns to drive awareness and gain access. 
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal team partners to achieve desired outcomes. 
  • Attend industry events and conferences to stay up to date on trends and networking opportunities where appropriate. 
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets by focusing on new logo acquisition and mid-contract upsell/cross-sell opportunities. 
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions in our CRM system to progress deals and outline monthly and quarterly forecasts. 
  • Continuously improve sales skills and knowledge through ongoing training and development, including reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. 

Requirements 

  • 5+ years of consultative sales experience with a proven track record of performance 
  • 3+ years of Experience in the legal/compliance field is strongly preferred and Software as a Service (SAAS) or advisory services sales experience a plus 
  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills 
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities 
  • Excellent listening and presentation skills 
  • Ability to work well in a team environment 
  • Personal commitment to strong ethical practices and an interest in helping companies advance a strong ethical corporate culture  
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level 
  • Relish on-going, self-initiated learning; assimilates new information quickly and welcomes feedback and applies knowledge to practical use on the job 
  • Self-motivated and results-driven 
  • Ability to work from a home-office/virtual setting
