PAY RANGE

 

The Target Pay Range for this position is $18 - $25/hr hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage.  Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance.  We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees.  Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan and employer-funded retirement plan.  Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. To join our dynamic team, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, AZ, or TX. If you’re located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance from Tukwila, we are requesting that you come into our HQ on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.  For those candidates that live outside the commute distance of TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.

As a Software Developer Engineer in Testing (SDET) Intern at BECU, you’ll be a key contributor in enhancing our systems through hands-on learning and innovative problem-solving. Your creativity and drive will help optimize processes, identify performance bottlenecks, and contribute to solutions that make a tangible difference in our technological future. WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  

  • Design Performance Tests: Collaborate with a dynamic team to create and run performance tests that ensure our systems meet and exceed performance benchmarks. 

  • Analyze System Behavior: Dive into system performance data, uncover trends, and identify areas for improvement to drive peak performance. 

  • Automate Testing: Use tools like JMeter or in-house test automation framework to automate testing processes, making systems more efficient and scalable. 

  • Partner with Teams: Work closely with developers, architects, and quality assurance teams to align testing strategies with system goals. 

  • Create Impactful Reports: Develop clear, actionable reports that communicate your findings and help drive strategic decisions. 

  • Optimize Member Experience: Ensure that BECU’s systems deliver fast, reliable, and seamless experiences for every member.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent degree program. 

  • Knowledge or coursework in Software testing methodologies, including performance and scalability testing.
