The role combines people leadership with occasional technical design, architecture review, and hands-on implementation.

Leads architecture, development, and evolution of large-scale distributed systems supporting a global commerce platform. Drives AI and GenAI integration, technical roadmaps, engineering excellence, performance, scalability, security, and reliability. Provides cross-domain technical leadership, mentors engineers, leads code reviews, collaborates with product and design teams, and builds tools and frameworks that improve engineering delivery.

Design, build, and evaluate conversational AI agents using Go and Python. Own agent orchestration, sub-agent architecture, prompt engineering, tool integrations, guardrails, approval flows, observability, and evaluation infrastructure. Develop datasets, scorers, regression suites, and quality metrics for production readiness. Collaborate cross-functionally on conversational experiences, make architecture decisions, rapidly prototype agents, harden them for launch, and mentor engineers.

Lead and grow an enterprise data engineering team while owning the Snowflake and Airflow platform roadmap. Build reliable, governed data products and modernize pipelines using AI-assisted and agentic workflows. Establish standards for quality, observability, lineage, cost efficiency, incident response, and documentation while partnering with Analytics, Data Science, Product, and business stakeholders.

Leads the design, automation, operation, and scaling of infrastructure across on-premises data centers, GCP, and AWS. Responsibilities include infrastructure as code, configuration management, networking, load balancing, DNS, monitoring, observability, distributed systems administration, documentation, technical direction, project leadership, and mentoring.
