“We have experienced unprecedented growth over the past year, and so too did the industry, as more national brands strive to make customer data and personalized communication foundational to their marketing efforts,” said Michael Osborne, CEO of SmarterHQ, in a statement. “It is clear that there is tremendous opportunity to bring our expertise and innovation to new markets, and we are excited that this expansion will help us grow our solutions to best fit the needs of our clients and their customers.”

SmarterHQ is a marketing platform that allows brands to convert data to insights, and leverage them to create an improved customer experience that increases profitability. The platform directly integrates with brands’ existing technologies, creating seamless implementation and a quick path to new revenue across multiple channels.

SmarterHQ boasts an impressive group of clients including Brookstone, Eddie Bauer and eBags, among others.

"We want to acquire the best customers and deliver the best possible return on their investment," Osborne said. "Walk through a mall and every single tenant is or should be a customer of ours."

“We’re fortunate enough to have a team that includes some of the brightest and most talented people in our industry,” said Jason Woosley, CTO of SmarterHQ, in a statement. “As we continue to seek out exceptional talent to address the challenges within our industry, establishing a firm presence in Austin’s thriving tech community is a logical next step for our organization.”

The expansion of its geographic presence reflects a continued period of growth for the company, which has now raised $20 million since 2014.
