Self Financial, a company that works to help consumers build credit, has announced the appointment of Shilpa Dhar as its first chief product officer. Dhar, who has over a decade of experience in the fintech sector, will lead the product team at Self Financial and will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s product strategies.
Dhar joined Self Financial from HubSpot, where she was the SVP and general manager of commerce. In her role, she oversaw product, risk, growth and operations. Before her time at HubSpot, Dhar was VP of product at Coinbase, managing various aspects including payments and risk while optimizing customer onboarding.
Self Financial is a credit-building platform that aims to enhance economic inclusion and financial resilience. The company’s offerings include a Credit Builder account, a Self Visa credit card issued by its partner banks and free rent reporting to the three major credit bureaus.
