Austin-based Insiteflow announced Monday that it raised $2.3 million for its technology that brings third-party plug-ins into electronic health record platforms.
The company said physicians are more likely to use third-party solutions when they are integrated and automated into their electronic health records platform.
Starting with the first month of deployment, more than 80 percent of physicians use this electronic health record workflow to implement data-driven recommendations and other best practices from external providers, according to the company.
“Clinicians do not have time to leave their [electronic health records] to access and use the constantly expanding set of external, third-party healthcare analytics, guidelines and other solutions. This often leads to missed opportunities to improve care, quality and revenue,” Insiteflow CEO Anthony Gerardi said in a statement. “By bringing critical data-driven recommendations from third-party solutions into their [electronic health records], Insiteflow empowers clinicians with the workflow they need to efficiently improve outcomes.”
The funding will accelerate the expansion of Insiteflow’s customer base and proprietary cloud-based platform.
The funding round was led by Silverton Partners with participation from Congress Ave. Ventures, Alumni Ventures and Service Provider Capital.
