Here Are This Year’s 5 Fastest-Growing Austin Tech Companies, According to Inc.

The latest Inc. 5000 ranking just dropped, and 109 Austin-area companies made the cut on the 2021 list. Read on to see which fast-growing local tech companies led the way this year.

Inc. released its latest Inc. 5000 list on Tuesday identifying the fastest growing, privately held businesses. Texas companies were well represented with eight of the top 100 businesses based in the Lone Star State, including several Austin-based tech companies.

The list includes United States-based, privately held companies. These companies are then ranked by their percentage revenue growth between 2017 and 2020.

Overall, 109 Austin-area companies across all industries made the list, including 62 repeat honorees such as Digital Thrive — coming in at number 121 this year. Together, these companies added 8,312 jobs and reported a median three-year revenue growth of 183 percent, according to the magazine. Total revenue in Silicon Hills totaled $3.9 billion.

Since launching, the company has expanded to monthly book club subscriptions curated by notable figures such as Stephen Curry, Megan Rapinoe and Malala Yousafzai. Over the past year, Literati was named one of Built In’s 21 Austin companies to watch in 2021 and raised a $40 Series B round in January. According to Inc., Literati’s revenue rose 4,898 percent over the last three years.
