ControlTheory, an Austin-based software developer, launched from stealth with $5 million in seed funding from investor Silverton Partners. The company works to help organizations optimize their existing observability tools without having to replace them.

ControlTheory’s Observability Control platform integrates into companies’ existing instrumentation and observability tools, adding cost controls and feedback loops. Its goal is to provide cost, operational and adaptive control, helping its customers enhance root cause detection, gain insights and improve operations while remaining agile enough to respond to change.

The company’s platform is available for early access. With its new round of funding, ControlTheory will further support the launch of its solution that aims to reduce observability costs and improve business oversight and understanding.
