Contentstack Raises $80M for Its Headless Content Platform

Contentstack develops headless content management platforms with various supported integrations.

On Tuesday, Contentstack raised $80 million in new funding for its content management system. The Series C round was co-led by Georgian and Insight Partners. 

Contentstack’s headless CMS is used by marketers and developers to integrate with other content platforms and create a unique experience that works for their business and team. The platform also enables teams to collaborate on content and has features for omnichannel marketing. 

“We started Contentstack years ago because other solutions in the market did not meet the growing demand for cloud, omnichannel and ease of working with other technologies,” Neha Sampat, Contentstack’s founder and CEO, said in a statement. “Embracing composable means embracing change, empowering teams, getting more bang for your buck and continuing to win in a tough economic environment. With the best composable content platform and the industrys best customer care, Contentstack is determined to help companies on their path.”

With the latest round, Contentstack’s total venture capital raised now stands at $169 million since launching in 2018. Following the raise, Georgians Lead Investor Emily Walsh is set to join Contentstack’s board of directors. 

Built In last caught up with the Austin-based startup in 2021 when it raised a $57.5 million Series B round. At the time, the company said the new funds would be used to expand its presence across Europe. 

Since its Series B raise, Contentstack has expanded to over 400 employees and is approaching more than 50,000 users.
