The top five funding rounds among Austin tech companies this month made a total of $193 million in combined funding. Shattuck Labs took the top spot with a whopping $118 million in new funding. Read on for the details on each of June’s top five fundings in ATX.
#5. $3 million, June 16
Its platform allows warehouses to unify their disparate technology systems. It’s on track to grow its revenue by 300 percent next year. The seed funding brought its total funding raised to $3.5 million.
#4. $5 million, June 30
The insurance tech startup just closed on a Series A funding round led by insurance executives. Its platform, Harmony, centralizes information from insurance networks. EMC Insurance Companies led the Series A round, with participation from Keystone Insurers Group and Combined Agents of America.
#3. $5 million, June 11
The startup offers virtual veterinary services. Mercury Fund led the Series A with participation from Dundee Venture Capital, Atento Capital, GAN and Urban Capital Network. It’ll use the new cash to grow its team and its platform.
#2. $62 million, June 24
The AI-powered real estate digital assistant already used some of this funding to acquire Movoto, a residential real estate search site. Both will now operate under the OJO umbrella. Wafra led the Series D round, which brought the total investment in OJO Labs to $133.5 million.
#1. $118 million, June 15
The clinical-stage biotechnology company uses its proprietary platform to develop biologic medicines for the treatment of cancer and autoimmune disease. Redmile Group led the Series B financing. It’ll use the funds to continue development of a few products.
