SpareFoot gains $33M to build out self-storage marketplace
Austin self-storage startup SpareFoot has raised $33 million in financing. In tandem with the recent funding, the startup, which operates a consumer-facing search engine and online "marketplace" for storage units throughout the U.S., will install two new members of its Board of Directors. Using its recent gains, Sparefoot plans to increase its employee count from 200 to 280 by the end of 2015. [Built In Austin]

The ATC teams with Dell for SXSW labs
On March 10, the Austin Technology Council (ATC) announced a partnership with Dell to launch a SXSW event. The Dell ATC Policy Labs at South by Southwest Interactive will focus on federal issues pertaining to tech. The event is scheduled for Saturday at The Capital Ballroom at the Omni hotel. From 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., attendees will be treated to six sessions regarding the most important political issuses to the tech industry. OwnLocal buys Sidengo to offer digital ad solutions for small businesses
Austin-based digital advertising company OwnLocal announced its acquisition this week of Sidengo, a fellow Austin tech startup, in an effort to amp up its own services for small businesses. Sidengo, founded in 2011 as a site-building service for customers with limited design and coding skills, will now be integrated into OwnLocal's digital advertising platform. [Built In Austin]

Under Armour moves to Austin, hiring 100 technical workers
Under Armour, the sports apparel company from Baltimore, recently moved to a 35,000-square-foot office at the Seaholm development . The company is looking to expand Connected Fitness — its tech component — and plans to hire 100 technical workers in 2015. Famigo announces app store suited for families
Famigo, an Austin-based statup that specializes in the development of family-friendly, educational mobile apps, announced March 10 its new app, Marketplace. The app essentially serves as an app store tailored to family use. It curates safe, educational apps that also are entertaining. Costing $4.99, the app operates only on Android to start.
