Osano, which makes data privacy management software, just raised $25 million. The Series B round, led by Baird Capital, will allow the company to expand its team across multiple departments, including product development, engineering and sales. The company will also accelerate its research and development efforts.
According to a statement issued by the company on Thursday, Osano has seen a 126 percent increase in platform utilization over the past year and launched a Privacy Program Maturity Model that helps leaders identify opportunities for improvement. The new funding will help the company build on that momentum.
Jump Capital, LiveOak Venture Partners, Next Coast Ventures, TDF Ventures and First Ascent Ventures also participated in the round. Baird Capital partner Mark Donnelly will be joining the company’s board, and First Ascent Ventures partner Katharine Tomko — former Facebook Head of Privacy Programs — will be joining as a board observer.
