After a successful 2022, in which it raised $32 million in funding and relocated its headquarters to Colorado, Smarter Sorting is starting 2023 strong by rebranding to SmarterX

SmarterX provides companies with product intelligence data that gives guidance on shipping practices, environmental regulations and storage solutions, among other insights for consumer products. Over 1,700 retailers and supermarket chains like Costco Wholesale and Wegmans use SmarterX’s consumer product solutions.

“We’re proud of our roots and we’re passionate about our evolution,” Jacqueline Claudia, CEO of SmarterX, said in a statement. “From the start, we focused on helping companies and organizations comply with environmental regulations. Today, we’re achieving our early vision for the company to not only power better waste diversion but also help our clients and their partners, up and down the supply chain, be more efficient and more sustainable.”

SmarterX grew 3X over the last year, according to a company statement. During that time, the company also began working with more clients and developed new integrations with inventory software and nonprofits.

SmarterX is now headquartered in Boulder, Colorado, but the company still has a presence in Austin.

Correction: Over 1,700 retailers and supermarket chains like Costco Wholesale and Wegmans use SmarterX’s consumer product solutions.
