United Kingdom-based Dropit recently closed a $25 million Series C round and is putting the capital toward opening an office in Austin and growing its presence in the area.
Founded in 2016, Dropit’s platform has various integrations that helps retail brands optimize their operations and increase their revenue by unifying their physical and online inventories and distribution channels. The company’s platform enables brands to automate their shipping fulfillment. It can also provide next-day and same-day shipping services. Additionally, Dropit uses algorithms to optimize inventory for brands.
To run the newly opened office, Dropit appointed Eric Abrahams as its new chief revenue officer. Abrahams brings over two decades of experience in leading sales teams and, according to Dropit, will be key to the company’s growth over the next few years.
Abrahams will develop Dropit’s go-to-market strategy and build out the company’s U.S. and Canadian workforces. The company said it will bring in sales and client success talent for its Austin office.
“As we enter our next phase of growth and continue to scale our presence within the U.S. market, I am thrilled to have Eric join our team and am confident that he will help us scale quickly while we continue tackling the biggest issues plaguing the retail industry,” Karin Cabili, founder and CEO of Dropit, said in a statement.
