London-based email security startup Red Sift announced Thursday that it will establish its U.S. headquarters in Austin with the help of an additional $54 million in venture capital.

The Series B round brings the startup’s total funding to $69.8 million. Highland Europe led the latest round with participation from Sands Capital, MMC Ventures and Oxford Capital Partners.

Red Sift currently employs 90 people, mostly in London and Barcelona. In the last year, the startup has more than doubled its annual recurring revenue, as well as its headcount. The company expects to once again double its headcount and revenue this year.

The company has two employees in Austin, one of which is Chief Growth Officer Mary Anne Gunn. Gunn told Built In that Red Sift’s leadership is impressed with Austin’s tech talent, business-friendly environment and tech ecosystem, particularly within cybersecurity.

Gunn said she expects the Austin office will grow to about 10 to 15 employees. The company will be hiring Austin-based sales and marketing roles, but will soon expand to other positions.

Red Sift has more than 700 clients, including major brands like Domino’s Pizza and ZoomInfo. It claims to be the only integrated cloud email security and brand protection platform for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. The software automates Brand Indicators for Message Identification (BIMI) and DMARC certification through its OnDMARC product.

Last year, Red Sift launched OnINBOX Remediation, which allows organizations to quickly resolve phishing emails and identify users at risk of impersonation.

In the second quarter of this year, the company plans to launch OnDOMAIN, which will allow organizations to shut down phishing sites, protect unsecured domains and stop email attacks before they happen.

“It has never been more important for organizations to successfully communicate with and ensure the trust of their employees, vendors and customers,” Red Sift co-founder and CEO Rahul Powar said in a statement. “To be a genuine partner to our customers, we must help them protect against multiple interconnected threat vectors. As a result, we built a platform that enables rapid iterations across multiple products that all share a solid, enterprise-ready foundation.”
