These 5 Austin Tech Companies Raised a Combined $142M in August

These are the top five largest funding rounds announced by Austin startups in August.

Last month, the five top tech fundings for Austin startups pulled in a combined total of $142 million. The top spot went to Restream for its Series A round. Read on below for the details on Austin tech’s biggest VC funding rounds for August.

 

#5. $9 million, August 27

The company manufactures flexible self-driving forklifts for warehouses. Menlo Ventures led the Series A round. With the funds, it plans to accelerate production to meet demand.

 

#4. $18 million, August 18

The company is an off-site package solution for apartment communities. Iron Gate Capital and Pando Ventures co-led the Series B. This brought its total capital raised to over $32 million.

 

#3. $30 million, August 18

Its anti-fraud platform helps prevent hackers and also provides fraud investigation software. Centana Growth Partners led the Series C round. With the new investment, the company plans to make some hires and expand its product.

 

#2, $35 million, August 19

The company built the first 3D-printed neighborhood last year in Mexico. Moderne Ventures led the Series A. It’ll use the funds to move its 3D printing technology out of R&D and into the hands of other companies.

 

#1. $50 million, August 27

The company is launching Restream Studio, a broadcast production platform that lets creators stream across over 30 social platforms simultaneously. Sapphire Ventures and Insight Partners led the Series A.
